Project description

The Customer is a world-famous brand of clothes, beauty, and accessories.

The main idea of the project is to create a modern user experience for the users to interact with the brand, buy the product, and also provide the convenience of using the website for both mobile devices and desktops. To achieve this our team has completely redesigned the website on the SFCC platform, enabling efficient website management and configuration.

 

Challenge

For this project, our main goal was to customize and rearrange the checkout page by dividing it into smaller and easy-to-manage templates. Each form, including authorization, password recovery, delivery, invoicing, and payment, will be separated into distinct components.

Furthermore, we have implemented a Virtual Try-On service that enables users to test products online. This feature will provide a virtual experience for users to visualize how the products would look on them before completing a purchase.

 

Project scope

  • Prepare detailed solution design architecture.
  • Checkout page including components, such as forms (authorization, shipping, billing, payment(credit card, delivery method).
  • Create order, full order flow experience, including components to display information about the order, its status, as well as the full history of the order with a list of products.
  • Quick order status side panel that serves as an information panel. This panel will provide essential functions to enhance the user experience during the checkout process. Users will be able to seamlessly continue the checkout process, access their wish list, and proceed with the authorization process.
  • Bazaarvoice multi-purpose service for viewing and adding new ratings and reviews for each product.
  • Accessibility to the website so that people with disabilities can comfortably use the website and more easily access its content using a variety of screen readers or highlighting elements.
  • Email templates, over 40 templates created with Velocity, were used to inform customers about various events related to the brand. Also, the JET BI team will use renders, which allows you not to use third-party services, but to do everything on the client side.

 

Result 

The outcome of this project is a visually stunning and user-friendly eCommerce website, enabling users to test products on the website through Virtual Try-On (VTO) functionality. It incorporates a user-friendly admin panel (SFCC Business Manager) that facilitates easy management of pages and overall user experience. The implementation of multiple payments (including Apple Pay, PayPal, GooglePay, and Idea Bank) and delivery services (including DHL and FedEx)  has been successfully completed. The frontend and backend components of the project are almost complete. Any further enhancements and fine-tuning will be handled by the support team which was provided with full developer and admin documentation.
