Overview
AlfredMind is an AI-powered self-discovery assistant designed to help users reflect, gain clarity, and build emotional awareness through meaningful, open-ended questions.
As part of the UI/UX Design service delivered by Jet BI, our team took full ownership of the product’s design strategy. This was a cross-functional effort involving product managers, designers, engineers, and QA — working together to rethink the experience end-to-end.

The Problem
The previous version felt corporate, cold, and overly analytical for a product meant to support self-reflection. Users described it as “a survey tool, not a companion.”
Key issues:
- Cognitive overload from multiple questions per screen
- Insights competing with the main task
- Clinical, emotionless interface
- Fragmented navigation and unclear mental model
- No clear value proposition or onboarding
- Shallow, non-narrative summary
- No sense of continuity or presence
The challenge:
Transform a rigid questionnaire into an intimate, emotionally grounded experience.

Creative Concept — “Exploring Your Inner Universe”
We redefined the experience around a clear emotional direction.
Atmosphere
- Dark, noir-inspired environment
- Warm bronze highlights
- Calm, immersive tone
- A sense of being guided and understood
The product was designed to feel like:
A quiet evening space where someone truly listens.
To maintain trust, we introduced clear signals of transparency: simple policies, explicit data usage, predictable interactions, and full user control.

UX Strategy
The experience was rebuilt as a continuous narrative, not a sequence of screens.
Core loop:
Arrive → Reflect → Discover → Continue
We shifted the product from a tool to a companion — focusing on clarity, emotional safety, and continuity.

Question Flow Evolution
Before
- Two questions per screen
- Dominant insights block
- Unclear actions
- Cold visual tone
- No rhythm or encouragement
After
- One question per screen → improved focus
- Collapsible insights → supportive, not intrusive
- Encouragement messages → guided experience
- AI depth validation → more meaningful responses
- Noir visual style → calm and intimate
- Soft progress system → motivation without pressure

Summary Experience
The summary evolved from a static report into a personal narrative.
Instead of raw analytics, it now provides:
- Human-centered personality insights
- Clear visual hierarchy and structure
- Meaningful visualizations (traits, axes, positioning)
- A cohesive story that reinforces reflection
It also introduces the Historical Twin feature — matching users with a historical figure who shares similar personality traits, adding depth and emotional engagement.

Landing Page
The landing page became the emotional entry point of the product.
It establishes trust, communicates value clearly, and sets the tone for the entire experience — positioning AlfredMind as a companion rather than a tool.

Final Thoughts

It now feels like a supportive evening companion — guiding users through reflection in a way that is personal, meaningful, and psychologically safe.
