On 1 December the hotel Crowne Plaza hosted the conference, which brought together experts in the field of Internet of Things. The topic so viral, but at the same time not fully investigated, attracted the interest of a large number of companies.
Ilya Shulipin, Director of SAP CIS Representative office in the Republic of Belarus, opened the conference with the following words: "Internet of Things is not only about the Internet and not only about things. It is a kind of a back-end, which helps gather information, analyze it, and to make a decision on this basis."
The first part of the conference explored practical experience and solutions of experts working with IoT technologies. One of the central messages of this part of the event became the idea that not the platform itself is worth the special interest but integrated solutions that help to get a particular result are much more relevant.
The panel discussion launched the second part of the event and allowed to conduct a more detailed dialog on some aspects of the chosen topic.
During the panel discussion, JET BI Director, Mr. Andrey Tankevich, held a presentation and shared his point of view on the possibility to use the IoT in various spheres of life.
Also, the company demonstrated a solution developed on the cloud-based service SAP HANA in-Memory. «Parking» project can become an ideal allocation solution for high-tech equipped parking places, which does not require significant investments.
The conference was structured in such a way that all participants had the opportunity to exchange their opinions on the issues voiced. Active networking after the event was undoubtedly an indication that the Internet of Things solutions is a relevant topic that appeals interest from the leading governmental and private organizations.
