Charity auction in Jet BI: Bidding for a better tomorrow
Jet BI continues its annual tradition of spreading goodness within corporate culture. This spring, we hosted a charity auction Bid4Good in 2025, where employees had the chance to help someone in need, all while enjoying the event as a fun game.
This time, we supported 11-year-old Maja’s treatment for a bone disease (congenital brittle bones) and her journey toward a better life. We hope that her severe condition will bring her fewer tears and more smiles in the future.
We all know that the more you give, the more you receive. But that sounds a bit cliché, and sometimes we tend to overlook this rule. However, with the auction format, where everyone can create their own lots and compete with colleagues for them, it becomes much more interesting. This heartwarming event definitely brings the team closer together, sparks constant conversations about the lots and the bidding wars, provides quick breaks from hard work, and, most importantly, allows everyone to learn something new about their colleagues, whether it's their hobbies, interests, or more.
The spring charity auction lasted exactly two weeks, from February 26 to March 12. On March 13, we announced the results and congratulated the kindest bidder (aka auction superhero) with the total bids amount. In addition to the lots they won, they received a one-year premium subscription to ChatGPT.
The superhero title was a new bonus we introduced this time, and it definitely encouraged more daily bids and healthy competition for the lots. Let’s dive into the atmosphere of our spring auction and highlight some of the exciting lots we had. It’s worth noting that every auction offers unique and diverse lots, depending on everyone's creativity.
So, the most popular lot that attracted the highest number of “hunters” was dinner with the director and a short excursion in Torun. This lot clearly provides a great opportunity for networking, getting to know the director better, and having informal discussions about work and life.
We might have been a bit too confident when we said the lots don’t repeat. This classic item always makes a return—a jar of pickled cucumbers, and the description of this lot is an art in itself. Here’s a short excerpt: “It's a finely aged wine-like essence that’s been kissed by the gods of brine.”
There were many books for every taste, from the Psalter (yes, and that’s not a joke) to “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and motivational literature like Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
Sweet lots like various candies, tulip-shaped gingerbread cookies in bouquet and cookies with personalized messages dedicated to Jet BI.
Unique mugs, handmade Christmas decorations with stones and stories, postcards from different countries, surprise box from Ireland (where no one knows what's inside except the lot owner), Eternity.AC Premium accounts for 1 year, tennis practice sessions, and much more.
And this is just one part of lots! We haven’t even reached summer yet, when many outdoor activities and lots are still to come.
Create an atmosphere of mutual support and unity within your team by participating in this auction.
