In our previous blog, we talked about the Visualforce version of the app created to engage people in charitable activities - Bid4Good. Today we want to tell you about its version for Lightning Bolt Community. What does it mean? Good news. It is a perfect solution for companies which want to customize the app - to adjust design and page content in a quick and convenient manner.
First things first.
We have created a Community template which can be managed by a user via Workspace and Builder.
My Workspaces tab provides admin tools to administrate, moderate content, and check statistics about the employees’ engagement.
The Builder is a place where you can change and adjust Community according to your preferences. In Bid4Good, we’ve already done it for you; all you need to do is to brand your community. This can be done easily by a Salesforce administrator in a couple of clicks.
Let's look at the example below:
Your company logo can be easily changed in the Page Theme window.
Changing the Community background is quite simple to do. Just add your chosen picture to the Community documents folder.
Afterward, you need to switch background in the Community Builder as shown below:
Once you’ve changed the background, you can use it right away.
Now you can create Stories, uniques descriptions of people or animals in need. Each auction participant can get acquainted with stories to learn more about auction goals. Using Stories you encourage employees to create Lots and make Bids.
