Bid4Good 2026: Supporting Marcelinka Together

At Jet BI, we sometimes run initiatives that go beyond our daily work. One of them is Bid4Good — an internal charity auction where colleagues create their own lots and place bids to support someone who needs help.

This year, the auction was dedicated to 7-year-old Marcelinka.

Marcelinka was born with a serious condition that affects her spine and hips. Because of this, she now needs surgery at Schön Klinik in Germany. The procedure is important for her future, as without it she may face increasing difficulties with walking and constant pain.

How the Auction Worked

Bid4Good follows a simple idea.

Instead of collecting donations in the usual way, colleagues offer something of their own. It can be almost anything — a handmade item, a small gift, a book, a personal skill, or even a small experience they are ready to share with someone from the team.

Others then bid on these lots, and the funds raised go toward the person the auction is supporting.

As the auction started, new lots began to appear one after another. Some were handmade, others were thoughtful gifts, and a few were simply creative ideas people decided to try.

Looking through the list, you could see how differently everyone approached it. Some colleagues prepared something themselves, others offered something personal or unusual. In many cases there was a small story behind the lot as well.

Team Participation

Over the next few days more people joined the bidding. Some supported lots created by their teammates, while others decided to contribute their own.

Gradually the initiative picked up pace across the team.

Moments like this show how even a simple idea can grow when people support it together. Small contributions — a lot here, a bid there — eventually add up.

A Small Thank You

To thank everyone who participated, the company prepared small gifts for those who joined the auction.

There were also several additional gifts for the most active participants — colleagues who created many lots or regularly took part in the bidding.

It was a small gesture, but a nice way to acknowledge the time and creativity people brought to the initiative.

The Result

By the end of the auction, the Jet BI team had raised funds that will help cover Marcelinka’s surgery and recovery.

But beyond the amount collected, Bid4Good is also a reminder of something simple. When people come together around a good cause, even a small internal initiative can turn into real support for someone who truly needs it.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who created lots, placed bids, and supported the auction throughout the process.

Your participation helped make this initiative possible.
